The song “Seribu Tahun” has been mentioned and used too many times in the past month from news coverage, tribute montages and twitter users playing it and relating it to a national disaster. I won’t take credit for it. We all have our ways to show that we are hopeful.

But too many irresponsible people have been speculating and the ugly people of our world sought for attention at the wrong time. Since I can’t control the use of the song in the media, I slowed down the song to an unrecognisable tempo as my flag at half mast and to symbolise our long wait.

Together, we pray for a miracle. Together, we wait. Sedia setia. Alfatihah.
